Michelle Watson is the Founder and Clinical Director of Reflections Counseling Services, LLC, where she brings over 15 years of experience in mental health care, particularly dedicated to Black women and teens. Her journey as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) has been shaped by a passion for creating spaces that are inclusive and culturally competent. Michelle understands the importance of representation and sensitivity in mental health services, especially for communities impacted by generational trauma, and she is committed to helping clients feel seen and valued.
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Michelle has built her career on a foundation of clinical expertise and empathetic, client-centered care. With extensive experience in individual counseling and clinical supervision, she works with clients facing a range of challenges, from anxiety and depression to relationship issues and life transitions. Michelle’s qualifications also extend to training and mentoring new social workers, offering clinical supervision to LMSWs in Missouri who are pursuing their LCSW licensure, thus shaping the next generation of compassionate, skilled practitioners.
Michelle specializes in addressing the unique mental health needs of Black women and teens, focusing on issues such as anxiety, depression, race-related stress, and grief. Her work emphasizes culturally responsive care, helping clients navigate the effects of systemic racism, societal expectations, and generational trauma. By offering telehealth services, she ensures that her approach remains accessible and flexible, meeting clients where they are both physically and emotionally. Michelle’s therapy sessions are client-driven, collaborative, and strengths-based, fostering a healing environment tailored to individual needs.
